Included with Standard ASP.Net are three much used controls: (1) The Regular List Box; (2) The Dropdown List Box and, (3) The Data Grid. Under normal circumstances these controls work very well right out of the package, however, when binding very large sets of data to these controls there can be a substantial degradation of response time. Every time a user selects an item from the control displayed by the client browser, the entire page must go through a post back process. If an application contains several data intensive controls, each data set must be transmitted from the client browser to the server and then back again to the client, a process that can really bog down response time.megaList controls include three options that can be used in lieu of the Standard ASP.Net controls above when large sets of data must be considered : (1) The megaListBox in place of the Regular List Box; (2) The megaDropdown List in place of the Dropdown List and, (3) The megaNavigate along with the Data Grid. With these megaList web controls you can bind very large sets of data to controls providing virtually identical functionality without a degraded page performance. In addition, the megaList conality wlso provide an enhanced navigation capability that allows either direct page-based navigation with page jumping or filter-based navigation of large data sets
